As some of you might already know, THE Instrument has been ritualistically destroying recordings of our live performances...and releasing the records of their destructions. Our web release http://www.vidatone.com/LiveatSchlesisches42.mp3 was lauded by The WIRE as, "one of the most conceptually annoying pieces to review." We would like to thank you 'The WIRE', because rather than passing judgement and starting a legal action against us, you simply listened to our piece and made an ambiguous statement. The Live Concert Recording Association on the other hand has different feelings about our 'artistic' practice (see below).

FaFaFaFriends, do not fear! We will continue to destroy recordings and record their destruction and then release the recordings (of their destruction) . In fact this Tuesday at Schlesisches 42 we will publicly humiliate the 1/4 inch tapes documenting our rendition of The A-Team. That's right! The gig that started it all. The First Tuesday of the rest of our lives.
Feel free to bring any recordings that you want destroyed. Depending on the method of destruction and sound quality of the recording, you might be eligible to be a part of our upcoming compilation.

In our report we have proof not only of several assaults on our recording technicians by yourself and people we suspect to be connected with your operation, but also proof of damage and possible theft of our recording equipment. In additon we will work to condemn and hopefully illegalize your anti-recording propaganda and your instigation to use violence against archived sound.

You are a threat to the joy, culture and human exchange of the live recording.
We are determined to stop you. We will use any and all resources at our disposal.

We have informed your employer, your previous employer, your family and some other people, of our actions, in order to make all of this more problematic and to spread fear.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
