the norwegian analogue-electro-impro-duo Piene/Larsen (Arthur Kay Piene,analogue synths and Stian Larsen,guitar) is going on the road in this fall between the 11th and 24th of october. The small band has toured extensively in Norway since they met in 2007 at the Norwegian State Academy of Music. Since then they have devoloped a unique sound blending analouge synths and electric guitar creating sounds and harmonies ranging from minimalistic soundscapes  to peculiar melodies. The music is totally free improvised but hardly sounds atonal, where the music is expressed through slow-moving, intertwining melodies and a common feel of form and composition. The two musicians have already marked themselves among the norwegian jazz/impro stage as a duo and as particiapants in bands like s.machine, Dr.Kay and his interstellar tone scienentists, Smith Komma John, Ask the dust, Thorax and Hush to name a few.
